Workshop on the Development of Nepal Road Safety Management System

Nepal Transportation and Development Research Centre and National Road Safety Council jointly organised a workshop on the development of Road Safety Management System in Nepal on 31 October 2014 in Hotel Everest.
 
The main objective of the workshop was to present the draft proposal on Nepal Road Safety Management System developed jointly by a team of road safety specialists working overseas and invite local input from key stakeholders on the proposal.  

The workshop was chaired by Mr Tulasi Sitaula, Secretary, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport with gracious presence of the Chief Secretary Mr  Leela Mani Paudyal, Chief Guest of the event. 

Dr. Partha Mani Parajuli, from Brisbane, Australia introduced the proposal. Dr. Kali Prasad Nepal from Melbourne Australia presented the framework for the Road Safety Management System. Mr. Subu Kamal and Jim Javies from Transport Research Laboratory UK also made presentation on various aspects of Crash Data Management System. Over 85 persons attended the workshop.
